The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to sassa status service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this sassa reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to enable the servicing of all status sassa clients and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
